Yeah, I'm stuck with it too... And as I pointed here
http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?p=26383#post26383
I could downgrade to XP, it's a pain in the ass but if it's the only way I can use the transit, I'm going for it... but I have NO answer from M-Audio... I PMed the 'M-Audio support technician' about it but had no response at all... and if there's a chance to have soon a good driver, I would prefer no to go through all the downgrade hell.

It's sad, such a great piece of hardware with such a bad driver support :(

I hadn't actually heard of MediaMonkey before you mentioned it. It looks like a nagware version of iTunes, but with broader format support (which is a good thing). If you were on Ubuntu I'd say Rhythmbox delivers all (practically) of MediaMonkey, but totally free. Then there's Songbird (http://getsongbird.com), which is open source and supports iPods (somewhat), shoutcast & last.fm internet radio. It's still under development but works quite well at this stage and runs on all operating systems. If all else fails there's foobar2000. Couldn't hurt to try MediaMonkey, although I think they'll have a hard time convincing people to shell out USD20. Interesting though.
