A Street Vendor in Istanbul

My style of street vendor. 1 Lira a strand. The only questions remaining are … ” Which ones?” and ” How many?”.

My favourite designer boutique on the high street of Vienna Petkov. The highlight of his Vienna lable is the textured fabrics. The skirt I liked was made of woven copper and cotton, as it held a fascinating structure. I took great pleasure in trying it on. I had to grab some photographic evidence to remember this glorious boutique.

How to be a fashionable Italian woman? Patterned dress, Italian leather handbag (of course), over-sized sunglasses, sandals, black hair and tanned skin. I think I’ll just take the handbag, sandals and the dress.

The bonus of living here in Kiev is collecting winter fashion accessories. Shopping for them is great fun too. I particularly like shopping at the local markets. It’s fun negotiating with the local people, it makes shopping an adventure (shopping is always an adventure here). My tally to date is one hat, 3 Berets, 7 scarfs and counting. I am enjoying being able to wear winter hats. Spring is on the way, Even now at 7 degrees it is too warm to wear my winter boots. Soon I will bid goodbye to my winter wares to make room for the fashion possibilities of the coming season.

I love the cold weather in Ukraine. I was looking forward to the winter fashion, hats coats and boots. So for my birthday Paul took me shopping for a winter coat. Hear it is. I wore it on our night out and my new winter boots. It is so warm and best of all it is devoid of Ukrainian kitch and bling.
